Coming Soon from Benchmade: 2025 Lineup Unveiled

Ready to get hands-on with all the newest Benchmade knives coming in 2025? We got a chance to see them all at SHOT Show 2025 and we’re ready to share the details with you. Benchmade unveiled a stunning array of new designs and updated classics with eye-catching color combinations and innovative material choices. Truly, the 2025 lineup promises something for every knife lover. Everything will available soon at the Knife Center Benchmade section, but until then let’s dive into the details.

SHOT Show Special: Mini Freek’s Gemstone Transformation

Every year, Benchmade creates a special, limited-edition knife for SHOT Show. This year, they’ve turned their attention to the popular Mini Freek. This knife features an Ultem handle and black oxide hardware. The real showstopper is the custom Cerakote finish: inspired by topaz and amethyst gemstones, the handle boasts a unique purple color.

The combination of purple and Ultem might raise eyebrows initially. But in person, it creates a truly striking look. Benchmade wanted to move beyond the usual black or satin blade pairings. The M4 blade steel ensures this Mini Freek is as tough as it is beautiful.

Water Series Dives Deeper

The Mini Adira and Adira folders in the Water series are getting a darker makeover. The new “Tempest Gray” color option offers a sleek alternative to the existing brighter colors. A black aluminum backspacer and blue titanium Cerakote on the blade complete the look. This darker variant appeals to those who prefer a more subdued aesthetic within the Water collection.

The knives also feature a charcoal gray paracord lanyard with a black bead, offering a different style than the standard high-viz orange lanyard. Rest assured, these models still use the industry-favorite MagnaCut steel.

Barrage Family: A Rich Palette

The Barrage family welcomes new colors and materials. Inspired by Moscow Mules, the Red Richlite Barrage (pictured above) is a standout. It features dark copper PVD-coated hardware with a shimmering, uneven texture. This gives it a warm, inviting tone. The thumb stud is anodized copper. Richlite has a great matte texture that feels great in hand.

The full-size Barrage now also features a Blue Canyon Richlite handle option previously seen on the Mini, and the blade is made from satin-finished S30V steel.

Bugout Series: Season 1 Sensations

These Bugout knives are part of the first limited edition seasonal 2025 releases, so expect them soon. The upcoming Crushed Silver Bugout sports Crater Blue anodized aluminum handles, turquoise anodized thumb studs and backspacers, and a significant upgrade to S90V blade steel.

For the Mini Bugout, there’s a new Woodland Green version with an aluminum handle. This marks the first time an aluminum handle has been used on the Mini Bugout. The Crushed Silver Cerakote blade and gold anodized parts complete the look. The color scheme is inspired by traditional camp gear. Despite the aluminum, it maintains the Bugout’s signature lightweight feel.

Bugout: The Aluminum Revolution Continues

If those limited editions don’t tempt you, this new main-line Bugout variant might. It features a full aluminum handle for stability and durability, with a handsome Redstone Richlite inlay on top. Orange anodized backspacers and thumb studs evoke backpacking and climbing gear. The blade is made from S90V steel. Even the pivot has details that match the handle milling. We hope to see more model variants like this in the future.

Dacian Fixed Blade: Stealth Mode Activated

The Dacian fixed blade series continues with exciting new additions. The most notable is the introduction of new leather sheaths for belt carry that combine a leather exterior with a snap-in Boltaron insert for retention. The black variant pictured above features MagnaCut blade steel and a black canvas Micarta handle.

491: The AXIS Lock Flipper Reimagined

The 491 is a new AXIS Lock flipper knife designed for fun and speed. The goal was a great opening and closing experience. It features a spear point blade and M390 blade steel.

The crossbar and pocket clip have an FDE PVD coating. An inset liner design creates a clean look by eliminating extra screws. This is a fully manual flipper. The action is improved compared to previous Benchmade flippers. You need to feel it to understand how smooth it is.

The 491 is also available in blue and Phoenix Red, both of which feature FDE PVD coating. These contrasting colors are a welcome change from the usual black knives.

710: A Modern Take on a Classic

The 710 returns with updated features. It now has a black aluminum handle with FDE accents, and the blade steel has been upgraded to M390 with a stonewashed finish.

The Axis lock uses flat springs for increased strength and durability. It still has the great feel that makes it a classic.

Osborne Family: Denim Dreams

The 940 and 945 Osborne knives now come in denim Micarta. Dark copper PVD coating adorns the pocket clip. The full-size 940 features an awesome floating backspacer. The denim Micarta handle will develop a patina over time. The color scheme is inspired by the hardware on blue jeans. The handle has partial liners.

PSK: Affordable and Adaptable

The new PSK (Personal Survival Knife) features a G10 handle and Elmax blade steel. This offers a new, lower price point. Knife modders will enjoy that the white G10 handle allows for easy color customization.

It has a full liner, AXIS Assist mechanism, and an outdoor-oriented design. The blade has milling details and a Cerakote finish. It’s slightly lighter than the original model. Elmax is comparable to S30V but with a bit more toughness, which makes it a perfect fit for an outdoors-oriented knife.

Tagged Out: New Steel, New Hues

We didn’t get a chance to get any pictures for this one, but there’s still some news for the Benchmade Taggedout in 2025. Steel snobs rejoice: new Taggedout releases for 2025 will be using Elmax instead of CPM-154. New handle colors will also available.

Crooked River: A Familiar Favorite, Refreshed

The new Crooked River features a burnt copper anodized aluminum bolster, which brings it in line with the popular MagnaCut 940 family. The handle is black canvas Micarta, and the backspacer is black G10. This applies to both the Crooked River and Mini Crooked River. It uses MagnaCut blade steel with a DLC battle wash finish.

Mini Bedlam: A Legend Returns

Benchmade Mini Bedlam open in hand

The Mini Bedlam is back! The original Bedlam was available in both automatic and manual versions. The all-new Mini is currently only available in manual. Two G10 handle options are available: black and coyote tan with black G10 accents. The blade is S90V steel with a black Cerakote finish.

The grip is comfortable, and it features an aggressive glass breaker pommel. Despite being called “Mini,” it feels more like a medium-sized knife. The G10 version will be available in both serrated and plain edge options.

The Mini Bedlam also comes with marbled carbon fiber scales (pictured above). This version features a polished S90V blade and burnt brass/bronze accents on the Axis lock, clip, thumb stud, pivot, and backspacer. The carbon fiber makes it slightly lighter. Despite the lighter weight, it still has full liners and a heavy-duty build.

Bailout Family: Carbon Fiber and Steel Updates

The Bailout family is about to get a lot bigger: new carbon fiber versions will feature M390 steel, and a either crater blue accents on the thumb stud, pivot, lock, liners, and clip; or a black cerakote blade and burnt brass/bronze accents (pictured above). The carbon fiber keeps it lightweight, and has a subtle texture for a secure grip.

Final Thoughts

Benchmade’s 2025 lineup at SHOT Show is impressive. The new designs, materials, and color combinations offer something for everyone. Keep an eye on the Knife Center website for pre-order availability. Pre-orders will open in a staggered fashion. Thanks to Chad and Amy from Benchmade for the insights.
