Buck Knives continues to impress—read on to see everything new for 2025 and coming soon.
Range Series: Buck’s New Best Knife
The all-new Buck Range is a big deal. The story starts with one of Buck’s most successful modern knives: remember the Buck Knives Vantage? We were big fans of the Vantage when it came out, but there’s no denying that these days it’s a little too long in the tooth to compete with the huge range of outstanding options out now. So, in order to deliver the very best modern folder Buck has ever made, they took everything that made the Vantage great—things like its comfortable handle, elegant drop point blade shape, and perfect deep-carry pocket clip, just to name a few—and spun them in to a whole new knife. Simply put, the Range raises the bar on Buck’s modern folders. Here are the details:
Range Elite

The Range Elite is the premium option in the series and it doesn’t hold anything back. Not only is this Buck’s first crossbar lock design, it also features MagnaCut steel that is Bos heat-treated, ensuring top-notch performance. But what really sets off the cutting performance is the blade thickness—or should we say thinness—of just 0.090″ which is notably thin for a modern “tactical” folding knife design. This one should be exceptionally slicey without being too delicate.
- Lock: Crossbar lock
- Blade Steel: MagnaCut (Bos heat treated)
- Blade Thickness: 0.090 inches
- Handle Material: Anodized aluminum
- Pocket Clip: Reversible/removable, deep carry
- Origin: Made in the USA
The anodized aluminum handles have a two-piece construction and no backspacer. The reversible, deep-carry pocket clip allows for comfortable, ambidextrous carry. The action is smooth, thanks to the well-designed pivot and ball bearings. Its slim profile makes it a great everyday carry option.
Mini Range Elite
The Mini Range is the compact version of the Range Elite. It’s perfect for those who prefer a smaller, more discreet knife.
- Blade Length: Approximately 2.75 inches
If you’re seeking a smaller knife that still packs a punch, the Mini Range Elite will be an excellent choice.
Range Pro and Mini Range Pro

For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, the Range Pro and Mini Range Pro are great alternatives. They offer similar features to the Range Elite but at a lower price point and with the advantage of a grippier, more comfortable handle.
- Blade Steel: 154CM
- Handle Material: Contoured, textured injection molded handle
These models feature 154CM blade steel and contoured, textured injection-molded handles. The reversible, deep-carry pocket clip remains, and the exceptionally keen blade geometry mirrors that of the MagnaCut versions.
The injection-molded handle provides a different feel than the flat aluminum handles of the Range Elite, and the added thickness and contouring offer enhanced ergonomics. These knives deliver excellent performance without breaking the bank.
100 Series: Classic Fixed Blades Make a Comeback

Classic Buck collectors will be happy to hear that Buck is reintroducing wood handles to their Heritage fixed blades in response to customer feedback. These knives combine traditional aesthetics with Buck’s renowned quality. The 100 Series includes:
Specs:
- Handle Material: Cocobolo Dymondwood
- Bolsters & Guard: Aluminum
- Blade Steel: 420HC (Bos Heat Treated)
- Sheath: Black Leather Belt Sheath
The handles are made of Cocobolo Dymondwood, offering both beauty and a reassuring feel in hand. The aluminum bolsters and guard add to the knives’ durability and classic good looks. The 420HC steel blade is Bos heat-treated, ensuring enhanced edge retention and corrosion resistance. Each knife comes with a black leather belt sheath.
These knives are built to last, and backed by Buck’s Forever Warranty. Being made from laminated and stabilized wood, the handles are resistant to water damage, warping, and cracking, making them ideal for lifelong use. We appreciate the thoughtful design of the leather sheath that locates the clasp on the backside, preventing snags when moving through brush.
Classic Pocket Knives: The 300 Series
Buck’s classic Stockman pocket knives have been totally retooled for 2025! These knives have been made in-house for 40 years, representing an unbroken string of knife design heritage that continues to represent Buck’s commitment to American-made quality.
301 Stockman

The 301 Stockman is a versatile multi-blade pocketknife. It is available with gray synthetic scales (pictured) or a selection of fine wood options, including ebony wood provided by Taylor Guitars.
- Blade Configuration:
- Clip Point
- Sheepsfoot
- Spey Blade
- Construction:
- Brass Bolsters
- 100% US Made
Each knife features brass bolsters and a three-blade design. All components are 100% US made. For a more affordable option, Buck offers a version with synthetic scales and nickel silver bolsters. This version uses the same blades and steel as the wood-handled models: 420HC steel with a hollow grind and nail notch.
303 Cadet

The 303 Cadet is a smaller version of the 301 Stockman. It comes in the same colorways and materials. The shield finish has an appealing, aged look.
New EDC Frame Lock Flippers
Buck’s latest entries to the EDC market are both frame lock flippers. These knives offer a modern design and smooth action.
Ruckus

The Ruckus features a selection of colorful anodized aluminum handles on the show side with a steel frame lock on the other. The blade is made from D2 steel.
- Lock: Frame Lock
- Pocket Clip: Reversible, Removable, Deep Carry
- Origin: Imported
The frame lock has been refined, with the lock bar relief cutout moved to the inside for a cleaner look. The reversible deep-carry pocket clip makes it lefty-friendly, and it also includes a filler plate for a clean look no matter which side the pocket clip is mounted. The handle has a wide profile for good grip, and a slim profile for easy carry. The blade has a slight recurve which should enhance its cutting power. The Ruckus is available in three color variations now: black with blue accents, all black, and black with green (pictured).
Stinger

The Stinger is a more streamlined version of the Ruckus. It features a steel lock side and an aluminum show side with a carbon fiber inlay.
- Blade: D2 Drop Point Blade, Full Flat Grind
- Lock: Frame Lock
- Pocket Clip: Reversible, Removable, Deep Carry
- Action: Ball Bearing Flipper
The D2 drop point blade has a full flat grind. The action is smooth, thanks to the ball-bearing flipper. The contoured handle provides a high-quality feel. The blade length is approximately 3 inches. Overall, this is a great option for those looking for a classier, more pocket-friendly sized folding knife with a classy look and feel at a great price.
