Just what I needed

I bought this as a replacement for the Cold Steel bearded axe as the handle it came with was too thin and felt like it might crack with a strong strike. The one y'all sent me feels sturdy in the hand, is a good size/weight, and does not feel like a brittle toothpick.

Solid

Bought two. Used as a replacement and spare handle. Grain alignment was optimal for both. One needed a minor amount of sanding to fit the Frontier Hawk head I was using it for. The other fit fine. Stripping the poly to refinish with linseed anyway, so no big deal.

Yup, it's a 30" tomahawk handle

I will use the handle and a cut down Cold Steel Trail Hawk head to make a firewood handling tool known as a pickaroon. Pickaroons are the bees knees for saving your back. Anyway, the handle looks perfectly suitable for intended uses. As far as I know Cold Steel is the only outfit making 30" tomahawk handles. The order was on back order for 4-5 months. Knife Center was great in sending me periodic assurances

It's what I needed.

I purchased this handle to replace the shorter 22" handle for my CS Rifleman's Hawk. Although I haven't yet stained and sealed it, I slipped the hawk head onto it to check fit and position. It fits my hawk head just fine, and will give me the added length I wanted.
