first impressions after a long wait

I had this knife on order for 10-ish months and it finally arrived. It was practically here overnight once it was shipped by Knifecenter (thank you KC!). The good: it's a very nice looking knife; the inlays are darker and richer looking than the photos. The blade is sharp, centered and locks up well. Access to the lock bar is good considering the size of the knife. The reflective frame surface around the inlay looks great, and also doesn't show as well in the photos. The knife is small and light. The not so good: The pocket clip is stiff and difficult to slide over the pocket material, even on dress slacks. The knife is awkward to open one-handed: it can be done, but nothing about the knife is helping you. There are tiny voids in the surface of the inlay. Most are filled with resin, but there's at least one that I can feel with a fingernail. Yes, I know it's a natural material and all that, but I don't see the same in my small sebenza with the same inlay material. Before you order this knife, get a ruler out and measure out the size on a bit of paper. This is a small knife but the style matches larger knives, which might make you think that it is larger. I am a small male, with small hands: I don't think I would enjoy this knife if I wore size XL gloves.
