Opinel Knives

The Opinel N08 is the most popular and versatile size in the ever-growing line of Opinel folding knives. This knife is small enough to be used as a pocket knife and its 3.25" blade is capable for most all of your cutting needs. Stabilized Olivewood is ultra-resistant and comfortably contoured to fit the hand. The blade is made from 12C27 Sandvik Stainless steel, which will not rust, however, try to avoid leaving your Opinel knife in damp environments for too long and dry the blade after each use.

Safety

This knife features the Virobloc Safety ring. The Virobloc safety ring was invented and implemented in 1955. This simple yet effective locking system greatly improved the original knife.The ability to help prevent the blade from opening when closed was added to the Virobloc in 2000.

Timeless EDC

I purchased three of these in Walnut, Padouk, and Olive. I like the olive the best. The most defined wood pattern. It takes time to unlock, open, and lock but it’s not a civivi elementum! I saw a lot of complaints about the blade being too thin and the locking mechanism not working correctly. I have had no issues. The blade stock is thin but that’s what I wanted. If you want a strong beater knife then go get civivi bullmastiff! This is a classic EDC that will freak no one out when you remove it from your pocket. Actually a lot of knife guys I know think it’s so cool they want one also. It’s a lightweight EDC!

Great all around knife

My knife came in a nice wood presentation box with a clear plastic cover and a well made leather belt pouch. The Sandvik steel holds a keen edge. All I have done is strop it after use. I was planning to make make the knife a regular carry, but started using it to carve camping utensils. The knife worked so well, I ended up putting with my carving knives. You can't go wrong with this knife. Simple design that just works.
